Micronutrients include vitamins, essential minerals, fatty acids and phytochemicals.

Even with a healthy diet, we cannot be certain that we are achieving the correct balance of nutrients. Taking mineral and vitamin supplements may do more harm than good, as they can either overcorrect a baseline normal level or give false confidence that they contain the right mix of ingredients to combat a deficiency. The most reliable way to ensure you have the correct amount of vital nutrients in your diet is to measure your body’s levels. An accurate measure of these nutrients will enable you to modify your diet accordingly or take specific supplements.

The test, designed by Professor Robert Thomas, an experienced oncologist and professor of biological and sports science with a research interest in the field of lifestyle, nutrition and wellbeing, in collaboration with a nutritional laboratory, measures the essential micronutrients which have been implicated in the chronic disease pathway, including cancer…. read more

This test is recommended for people who want to develop a much more comprehensive understanding of their nutritional status. It provides clear and specific guidance on which foods to avoid and which to eat more of in order to restore nutritional harmony. The test will provide recovering from or experiencing chronic diseases, including cancer, with reassurance or corrective guidance to ensure they are in the strongest position to fight their disease

Combining the important tests into one profile makes this the most cost-effective way of measuring over fifty micronutrients.

What the micronutrient test includes

This test analyses chemicals in the blood which are not routinely checked by a GP or hospital doctors. Unlike other nutritional tests available privately, it does not include test you can generally ask your GP for and cost nothing. The test analyses:
